IntelliCon is an independent research project to enable underwater wireless communication by utilizing robots. Its
mission is achieved explicitly by completion of two subprojects:
• Production of a fully-autonomous agile Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle (ROV) which is capable of carrying and
targeting underwater acoustic transmitter
• Production and implementation of an acoustic receiver/transmitter system capable of water-water and
water-air wireless communication
At this point, production of an independent, waterproof, and fully-wireless ROV has been completed; the next goal is to develop an auto-pilot system for the ROV.
