Fall 2020 Update: Following campus guidelines, Jacobs Hall will remain closed to all non-essential community members for the semester. Please continue to check our news post for updates on the status of campus and building operations. For information on how we are working to support research, student coursework, and the Jacobs Community, visit our Makerspace Access During COVID-19 Shelter-in-Place page.
Jacobs Hall, opened in 2015, is a place for diverse design activity. The building’s flexible, light-filled design studios and wide-ranging equipment labs fill 24,000 square feet, composing an open hub that brings multiple design practices under one roof. Simultaneously an academic building and a community space, Jacobs Hall supports courses, club and competition activities, independent making, and more.
Check out what’s currently scheduled in Jacobs Hall’s teaching studios, located on the second and third floors of Jacobs Hall. Studio 210 is shown in blue, Studio 220 in green, and Studio 310 in red. Use the triangular dropdown menu on the top right of the calendar to select a particular studio calendar.
Looking for a meeting or study space? The teaching studios can be used on a drop-in basis when they are not reserved on the calendar above. Students can also check out the Design Lounge or reserve a meeting room on the third floor. Please note the Design Lounge and meeting rooms are currently closed due to COVID-19 campus closures.
