Design lounge

You can use the design lounge, located on Jacobs Hall’s basement level, for drop-in project workspace or study space; project team meetings and work sessions; and club meetings and student events (learn more about student meeting and event reservations here). This space is also the site of many workshops offered by members of the Jacobs community, including Design Specialists, Advanced Prototypers, Design Fellows, and student clubs. The design lounge is a resource open to all UC Berkeley students — a Maker Pass is not required for use.

The workshop includes:

  • 9 studio-style tables
  • a 75-inch LCD screen
  • a rolling cart with basic prototyping supplies (e.g., post-it notes, sharpies, felt, etc.)
  • capacity for up to 30 people

The design lounge is available on a drop-in basis when it is not reserved on the calendar below.
