Unlock creativity, innovation, and limitless possibilities with the Berkeley Certificate of Design Innovation (BCDI)!
The BCDI is a certificate for undergraduates who are interested in developing their critical mindset, collaborative problem defining skills, technical skills to innovate in a wide variety of areas, and hands-on tools in each of the phases of the innovation cycle.
The certificate connects the design approaches and disciplines from four schools at UC Berkeley: the College of Engineering, College of Environmental Design, College of Letters and Science Arts and Humanities Division, and the Haas School of Business) to ensure that students understand the entire lifecycle of innovation, from idea to execution and beyond.
The course sequence for the Certificate consists of four courses: one foundation, two design skills, and one advanced design.
