UC Berkeley’s Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation is seeking an exceptional candidate to fill the role of Executive Director.
Founded in 2013 with a generous $20-million donation from the Paul and Stacy Jacobs Foundation, the Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation is a hub for innovative thinking and design education at UC Berkeley. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate, with an entrepreneurial spirit who is passionate about Design and Technology, the JIDI mission at Berkeley, driven to develop something new, and has strong collaborative and communication skills, and is excited by the opportunity to collaborate with leadership and lead a an extraordinary staff team to shape, develop and deploy the creative courses, programming and activities at Jacobs Institute!
The Executive Director will be an experienced leader in academic management and administration and responsible for all operations of the Institute, working collaboratively with faculty, staff, campus leadership and external partners to ensure the success and growth of the Institute’s offerings and programs. The position oversees budget planning, staffing, and administrative infrastructure; guides the Institute’s governing and advisory groups; cultivates industry, community and campus partnerships; and actively works to identify and develop funding opportunities for the Institute.
