Elizabeth Glenewinkel

Lecturer

Elizabeth Glenewinkel works at the intersection of design research, experience design, and strategy, with a teaching practice grounded in studio pedagogy, human-centered design, and critique-based learning. She is Senior Adjunct Faculty at UC Berkeley’s Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation, where she teaches Studio Foundations in the Master of Design program, guiding students through core design methods, collaboration, and reflective studio practice.

Elizabeth is also Senior Adjunct Faculty in the Design MBA program at California College of the Arts, where she has taught Experience Studio since 2013, focusing on immersive “phygital” prototyping that integrates design research, service design, visual design, and brand strategy. She additionally lectures at UC Berkeley Haas and has taught in CCA’s MFA program.

Alongside her academic work, Elizabeth brings deep industry experience from leadership roles at Salesforce and gravitytank, where she led global research and innovation teams shaping customer-centered product strategy. She regularly guest lectures at institutions including UC Berkeley Haas and Stanford d.school and speaks at industry conferences such as SXSW and Dreamforce.

Elizabeth holds an MS in Design from the Institute of Design at Illinois Institute of Technology and a BS in Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin.
