Job Opening: Berkeley MDes Director of Academic Affairs

The Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation and the UC Berkeley College of Environmental Design are hiring for a Director of Academic Affairs of the Berkeley Master of Design (Berkeley MDes).  

This leadership role sits at the center of the MDes student experience, partnering closely with faculty on curriculum development and the ongoing evolution of our studio-based program, while also overseeing admissions and recruitment, fellowships and financial aid, student support, and academic administration. The Director also serves as a liaison to other graduate professional programs within the College of Engineering and to the College of Environmental Design.

We are seeking candidates who are enthusiastic about supporting students; possess strong collaborative, organizational and communication skills; and are excited to help shape UC Berkeley’s only Master of Design degree. Candidates with a background or experience in design are especially encouraged to apply.
