Jacobs Spring Design Showcase

April 29, 2020 | 10:33 am

Join us Wednesday, May 6 & Thursday, May 7 for our semesterly Design Showcase! The Design Showcase is one of our most celebrated events, as students wrap up a successful semester and share their proudest moments and accomplishments with their peers, campus community, and the greater public. The Showcase highlights student coursework, as well as projects by student groups, the Innovation Catalysts Grant recipients, and other independent student projects.

While we cannot meet at our home in Jacobs Hall this semester, we hope you’ll find our digital experience equally enriching. Our students, instructors, and staff have worked hard to make sure this year’s Design Showcase continues with the same creative and collaborative spirit always present during the two-day event.

To learn more, visit our Design Showcase website, where you’ll find a list of all participants in this semester’s Showcase, which will feature both live events and dynamic project portfolios.

For live events, please tune in and participate according to the schedule that will be added early next week. Otherwise, please feel free to explore links and projects at your leisure once the showcase kicks off on Wednesday morning, beginning at 10 am. You’ll find each course or student group project’s external site linked with the schedule.

We’d also like to encourage you to check out this semester’s COVID-19 Design Challenge presentations, a three-week challenge where student teams considered the long-term impacts the pandemic will have on our communities, and how to use design as a response.

We invite you to join us in celebrating our students’ resilience and ability to continue exploring the roles and impact of Design Innovation, regardless of limitations and challenging times!
