The Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation will continue to follow campus guidelines for in-person instruction. Please continue to check their website for updated information.
As of January 7, 2022, UC Berkeley has decided to begin the semester with a two-stage process, with most courses being offered fully remote for the first two weeks (Jan. 18-28) and then moving to fully in-person instruction in the third week of the semester on Jan. 31.
During this time, Jacobs Hall will remain open and continue to support remote making with Jacobs Project Support (JPS). JPS will open up for submissions beginning January 18, 2022. The most up-to-date information about JPS can be found at this website. Registration for JPS is open now.
You may also now register for a Spring 2022 Maker Pass. Students who have completed the requisite orientations and have paid their Maker Pass fees may resume access to the Makerspace beginning January 31, 2022. Full details about Making at Jacobs can be found here.
